The marriage ceremony is the most important part of a wedding day. A “Kentish” Marriage ceremony at The Dog Inn offers a flexible framework within which couples may personalise their ceremony with poetry, prose, live music, recorded music and of course a choice of marriage vows. As the day of your marriage ceremony approaches, the registrar who is to solemnise the marriage will be pleased to meet with you to discuss final arrangements for your ceremony. This may either be at the register office or here at The Dog Inn. By arrangement a rehearsal can also take place with the registrar confirming the ceremony sequence and content, as well as seating arrangements for your guests. Rehearsals can help some couples overcome nerves on the day itself!

Some couples choose to have a ceremony enhanced by traditional formality while Others like their ceremony to be relaxed and informal. You are encouraged to use your imagination and so the choice of your ceremony and its style can be entirely your own.

Once you have booked your ceremony at The Dog Inn , the register office will contact you directly in order that you can attend to give formal notice of your marriage. At this point you will be given a booklet explaining arrangements for the marriage ceremony and setting out examples from which the bride and groom may choose to personalise their own marriage.
