The Dog Inn at Wingham is only an hour from London situated, in the picture postcard village of Wingham, between the historic Cinque Port town of Sandwich and the city of Canterbury. with Dover, it's ferries and the channel tunnel very nearby.

Originally built in the reign of King John in the early 13th century ,The Dog Inn occupies a prominent position in the village opposite the church. on what is one of the most photographed roads in Kent; formerly known as Canon’s row (now Canterbury road). The original property formed part of a monastery attached to the church. Evidence of tunnels linking The Dog Inn to the church remain today in the ancient cellars of the property.

A rare quality emphasised by truly first class guest comforts, with an understated style of traditional English elegance is what you may expect of the guest rooms, each individual in their layout and character.

Personally run by the owners, Richard & Sherry Martin, The Dog Inn is a wonderfully versatile hotel, ideal for weddings, romantic breaks, business travel, and of course holidays. It's also a ideal base for touring golfers attracted by the Kent coast's abundance of quality golf courses, including world famous Royal St Georges, host golf club to the 2003 British Open.
